The 7 Most Instagrammable Spots in Paris
I cannot express how happy I am to have returned to Paris after 8 years apart! When I first went to Paris, I was just 17 and there on a modeling contract for a month. It was honestly one of the best experiences of my life, and since I have always remembered Paris as the most beautiful city in the world. Back in the day, I was armed with nothing but a flip phone for local calls, and one of the dinosaur versions of the iPhone (the iPhone 2 I think?) for photos and contacting back home. I remember snapping pics periodically on my iPhone and doing bulk uploads onto Facebook of everything I had captured. No deleting of pics, no editing, and no clever captions! Oh how the times have changed – but the OCD in me loves reflecting on teenage Steffie’s ways. This time around we spent just 4 days in Paris, but we packed A LOT into each day, and our photo game was STRONG if I say so myself. If you just have a few days in Paris, these are the spots that you (and your followers) must see 😉 I’ve attached several tips below as well as a handy map for your reference. Enjoy!
Â
You know Washington Street in NYC where everyone takes pics of the Brooklyn Bridge? This is just like that but with the Eiffel Tower instead! Rue de Universite is a dead end with a perfect view of the Eiffel Tower. Because it’s a dead end, no traffic is coming through – except maybe a rare car making a U-turn. There was a small crowd when we went, but it was minuscule compared to the crowd in park by the Eiffel Tower. If you want a gorge shot with no people in it, this is the spot!
2. Place VendomeÂ
Place Vendome features some of Paris’s most luxurious shops, as well as the magnificent piece of architecture that is the Vendome Column! It makes a for a stunning backdrop, and you can splurge a little afterward if you’re feeling it!
Just like Barcelona, Paris has it’s own Arc de Triomphe! But I’ll be honest, getting a pic there is NOT as easy as in Barca. Like I would say it’s actually pretty dangerous?! This arch is in the middle of a very busy intersection, with the ideal photo spot in the midst of two lanes of traffic. You’ll recognize it by the line of people and the large dot in the middle. I opted for a photo by the crosswalk instead – but to each their own!
Not only is this bridge beautifully made, but it also features a perfect view of the Eiffel Tower! Take a stroll, and get a few shots along the way 😉
5. Louvre
If you went to Paris and didn’t get a pic at the Louvre – were you even there? It’s a gorgeous location both inside and out, so make sure you bring your camera!
This epic fountain is sure to spark joy, and make for a fire Instagram post 😉
7. Moulin Rouge
Â
& Finally the iconic Moulin Rouge! Unfortunately, I forgot my camera, so we opted for iPhone shots. As you can see, the neon especially pops in the darkness of night. Take a few shots and then check out a show or one of the local bars 🙂
